FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the Voltera wireless trailer light tester
What does the Voltera do?
Voltera lets one person test every lighting circuit on a trailer without a tow vehicle. Plug the tester into the trailer socket, then switch each circuit on and off from the wireless handheld remote while you walk around the trailer.
Which trailer sockets are available?
- 7-pin (ISO 1724)
- 7-pin and 3-pin agricultural
- 13-pin (ISO 11446)
- 13-pin and 3-pin agricultural
- 15-pin HGV (ISO 12098)
Which lights can I test?
The remote has buttons for brake lights, rear fog light, left and right side lights, left and right indicators, reversing lights (13-pin and 15-pin models), AUX, All ON and All OFF.
What powers the tester?
An 18V power tool battery. Milwaukee, DeWalt, Hikoki, Metabo, Bosch and Makita are supported. Choose your battery type when ordering. The battery is not included.
What output voltage does it supply?
12V on the 7-pin and 13-pin models. 20V on the 15-pin HGV model.
Why does the tester switch off or not start with a low battery?
Low-voltage protection switches the tester off at 16V to protect the battery. It will not restart until the battery rests at 18V or more. A battery that reads just above 16V at rest can still drop below 16V under load, so charge or swap the battery.
How much is delivery?
